SUMMARY 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

Podcast Production (80%)

• Manage technical requirements and record interviews both on Zoom and in-person.
• Edit video and audio episodes, including smooth transitions between intros, ads, interviews, and outros. 
• Enhance podcast listenability through music, equipment, capture, and production improvements.
• Support podcast development for Darrell Johnson podcast.

Content Development (20%)

• Identify and create derivative assets from each podcast episode (Reels, Shorts, TikTok).
• Support asset development for Darrell Johnson’s social media and podcast.

Other Duties as Assigned

• As a small, collaborative, and mission-driven organization, all team members are expected to contribute beyond their primary roles when needed.
• Given the nature of our work, all team members are expected to travel occasionally to support major events, gatherings, and initiatives. This includes assisting with event setup, facilitation, and execution.
• We rely on each other to step in where needed. This may involve helping with communications, resource development, or supporting other ministry initiatives.
• Team members should be willing to take on new challenges, problem-solve on the go, and contribute to the overall success of The Pastorate.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Strong administrative and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in podcast production, including production and post-production.
• Proficiency in video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
• Strong technical knowledge of recording equipment, sound quality enhancement, and production workflows.
• Familiarity with video production including cameras, lighting, and audio equipment. 
• Familiarity with Zoom and remote recording best practices.
• Proficiency using Asana, Google Workspace, YouTube Studio, Spotify for Creators.

• Highly responsible, proactive, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a remote team.
• Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative in improving processes.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to support major events and initiatives.
• Passion for pastoral leadership development (Pastoral experience is an asset).
• Alignment with The Pastorate’s mission, values, and Statement of Faith.
